I've been working as a professional graphic artist for over 35 years, and I've been building the Clockwork Bird brand for twenty of them. Along the way, I experimented with countless techniques and tools before my current style slowly found its shape.
I have a deep love for ink drawing, medieval and Baroque engravings, and vintage design — and all of these find their way into everything I make here. With that sensibility already in my blood, turning toward laser engraving felt like a natural next step — the precision, the contrast, the way light and shadow work on engraved surfaces all speak the same visual language I'd always been drawn to.
Every piece in this shop carries that same DNA, built on a specific visual tradition, not on what happens to be popular. This is a one-person studio: every design is conceived, created, and refined by me alone. I've never chased trends, and I've certainly never copied anyone else's style or work. Over the years, that commitment has shaped something consistent, cohesive, and recognizable: a style that's genuinely my own. (Though I can't say the same for others — my style and specific products have been copied repeatedly over the years. It's frustrating, but if anything, it only makes the originals easier to recognize among countless cheap, mediocre imitations.)
I live in a small medieval town, in an old house surrounded by forests and hills. The remarkable historical atmosphere and the richness of the natural world around me are a constant source of inspiration — and both find their reflection in my designs. I hold myself to a consistent standard of premium quality across everything in this shop, and I hope working with these files brings you as much joy as making them brought me.
