Connecting people through words and imagery
For many years I wanted to design t-shirts that were filled with ideas. Even in my late teens I had the concept of creating t-shirts with quotes from famous and historical figures with an image on it. The goal was to bridge the gap between generations through the context of the quote. An elder seeing a younger person in their 20's with a Miles Davis quote on their shirt would bring back a memory and possibly open a conversation between the two.
The concept never came to fruition until recently. The first t-shirt I created was something I pondered for quite a while observing how the internet amplified hate and ignorance. How I could best put it into words was "Read Books Not Comments". This primarily served as a note to self. A reminder to not get caught up engaging in heated online debates in the comments section of news articles and social media posts. Read Books Not Comments is a word of encouragement to alternatively be more useful with your brain power.
This all spun into shelling out more ideas on apparel and products with other references to art history, culture, and other interests of mine throughout the years. Some are more light hearted than others but for the most part things that have been of interest to me in one way or another.
Enjoy and ask any questions you may have.
