Duke is a 16ish yr. old lab X who was found on the side of the road completely blind with cataracts, starved to skin and bone and very weak. When I called him over to me, he sat down and held up his paw to shake hands like a proper gent.
Since then he has had to have his eyes removed as they were swelling and causing him so much pain. He also had to have a large tumor removed and a few teeth. When he went for his first x-ray the vet discovered buckshot all along his side, so at sometime in the past he had been shot and never treated for it!
With lots of food and attention he quickly regained his strenght and condition. He now lives with me and my two other rescue dogs and has the house and grounds mapped out completely in his head so he can move around freely without bumping into anything.
He loves going for walks, playing in the garden and snoring infront of the fire.
I set up this shop iniatially to purchase a winter coat for him from another etsy shop while helping to clear out the house of things I have gathered from auctions, markets and vintage shops. Now any proceeds go towards food, vet bills, and the ocassional treat that I think he richly deserves after all he has been through.

Sad news today. Duke suffered a stroke last night and passed away this afternoon. He was a great dog and he will be greatly missed.
