The Foraging Felon!
Welcome to The Felons Forest.
My name is Jessica, and I create and gather natural products from the woodlands of Western Kentucky. What started as a way to survive has grown into a passion and a business that allows me to support myself while sharing the beauty of nature with others.
Many people ask about my shop name. The truth is that I am a convicted felon. A few years ago, my life took a path I never imagined after becoming trapped in an abusive relationship and facing circumstances that changed everything. When I finally escaped and began rebuilding my life, I found peace in the woods. The forest became a place of healing, purpose, and second chances.
Today, I spend my time sustainably gathering, drying, and preparing natural materials such as willow, magnolia leaves, bark, branches, seed pods, wood, and other woodland treasures. Every item is carefully selected by hand and prepared with care.
I don't work a traditional job because I live with significant physical limitations from a "whole spine" spinal fusion, (from neck to tailbone) which make many types of employment difficult. Running this shop allows me to work at my own pace while doing something I genuinely love.
The Felons Forest is about more than natural products—it's about resilience, redemption, and finding beauty in unexpected places. Thank you for supporting a small business and being part of my journey.❤️
