Welcome to the First Sip of Tea, a woman owned tea company that has been bringing the finest quality teas and spices to your homes since 2004. My name is Mundir, and I was born in India, where I learned the art of blending spices from my mother. My childhood was filled with flavors and aromas that shaped my life and led me to create The Spice Hut and The First Sip of Tea.
My Background
Growing up in India, I saw firsthand how the right blend of spices could transform a simple meal into a culinary masterpiece. I spent my younger years learning about the properties and benefits of each spice, and how they could be used to enhance the flavor of different dishes. My passion for spices and their impact on food led me to experiment with different blends and recipes, and I wanted to share this passion with the local community, and eventually started my own business: The Spice Hut
The Spice Hut is a proud minority-woman owned business that has become a staple in the PNW. My commitment to pure, natural ingredients, and balanced flavor, is reflected in every product we offer. My son and I source the finest teas and spices from around the world, hand-selecting each ingredient and ensuring that it undergoes rigorous inspection before it is hand-blended, freshly-ground, and hand-packaged to order. This ensures that you receive the best tasting teas and spices every time.
