I am so thankful you've stopped by my Etsy shop. My name is Sarah, and I'm a 36-year-old mother to my son who is growing up quickly before my very eyes. He's the reason behind my drive to create durable, sewn items that support a functional, realistic lifestyle. My husband and I live a quiet life in rural northern New York State. As time has marched on, I have craved creative outlets to remember the "me" that I once was before the deafening defeat of adulthood sank in.
As a child, you could find me sketching scenes of swans swimming in a lake, angels singing with mouths agape, folding origami boxes and flowers by the dozen, and trying desperately to hoard beautiful glitter and metallic pipe cleaners.
I grew up loving graphic design, music, painting, photography...but at the time, I didn't truly appreciate those interests and didn't think I could "do" anything with them. I spent countless hours watching my mother sew with methodical precision and excellent results. The best I could do back then with sewing was crank out some wicked scrunchies. The 90s were blissful, weren't they?
I met the love of my life when I was about 9-years-old at a summer camp tucked in the Adirondack Mountains. We became an item at age 18, and have spent our lives together ever since. I am supported in my crazed pursuit of creativity by my wonderful husband. Through it all, he says, "yes dear," and willingly supports the financial investment needed to pursue these loves.
It's taken me time to recognize that I am happiest when I can put my hands to work to produce a finished product. My full-time career is a desk job in higher education administration. When those work hours come to a close, you'll find me at home weaving together a meal from scratch, teaching my son not to pull the dog's tail, and when all the duties of motherhood are done for the night, I drag myself to the table to sew for you, and to fold paper into origami stars when I'm about to lose my sanity.
My favorite media in which to create are fabric, paper, and wood, but I even dabble in handcrafted body care products including soap, lotion, lip balm, and scrubs.
Thanks for your generous support of my one-woman-show. When you support small business, you support a community of families like mine who become better able to pay the heating bill, keep the lights on, and pamper their loved ones in ways unattainable previously. I appreciate you.

5 out of 5 starsThese fit perfect! I can go through our whole condo with just one. Adding a spritz of cleaner to the pad makes them even better. The material is perfect for grabbing every bit of dirt. I love this eco-friendly option. Thank you!!

5 out of 5 starsThis is a well-made item that serves its purpose well--- heating and/or cooling the sore, achy spots at the end of the day. I'm very pleased with my purchase! Thank you so much.

5 out of 5 starsI LOVE this item! The pattern is beautiful and the fabric is high quality. I've purchase several corn bags from other Etsy shops and this one is definitely the best when it comes to quality. I purchased this item to use on my back for pain, so I wouldn't have to keep heating up 3 of my smaller ones. This gets the job done! Love it and highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 starsI had gotten one of Sarah's corn bags each for my husband and daughters at Christmas. They loved them and I found them to be extremely high quality! Now, I have bought one for myself. Mine is a little larger than the others I bought. She said it was "to make better use of a yard of fabric". It's the best corn bag I have ever owned--with the four individual sewn columns, the corn stays put. Keep up the great work, Sarah!!
