Be Loyal to What Matters
In April 2026 my husband turned on a video game for me that would change my life forever - Red Dead Redemption 2. I had just received some terrible news and needed a distraction. I was nervous to pick up the controller as a brand new gamer, but from the moment I heard Arthur Morgan's voice and finished the first chapter of the game, I was hooked. I finished my first play-through within two weeks, all while being a full time stay-at-home mom and homemaker. Every evening after the kids went to bed, I turned on RDR2 and followed a story about becoming the best person you can be despite what the world will throw at you. The game literally changed how I looked at life.
After I finished the story, I decided I want to be a "real gamer" and finish it to one hundred percent completion. I saw trackers online but hated that I had to keep looking at my phone. So, I went to a drawer with an old, leather journal that I had tucked away a few years before and wrote down everything I needed to complete my goal. My husband posted my journal on a forum and everyone loved it. Some even said they wanted one for themselves and an idea popped into my head: an Etsy shop!
I am so proud of these hand-written journals and I'm excited to share them with other gamers who have been impacted by video games like I have. It started with RDR2, but who knows how far these 100% Completion Journals will go!
