The Golf Project - For Golfers; By Golfers
The Story
It started with a walk in our local downtown area, Traverse City, Michigan. We're surrounded by lakes; the Great Lakes and countless inland lakes. A local artisan had the great idea to create 3D wood renditions made of these lakes and their surrounding towns.
Tyler, one of the co-founders, found himself whispering aloud "How cool would these be if you did the same thing for golf courses?"
Tyler reached out to his good friend Jeremy, who has extensive experience in manufacturing and woodworking and The Golf Project was born in August of 2021.
What followed was 6 months of trial and error, many late nights, many failures and iterations. Finally in the early stages of 2022 Tyler and Jeremy had a product they were proud of and started sharing it with family and friends.
Our Mission
The ethos of The Golf Project is simple. For golfers by golfers. We love our products because we love the game of golf, all of its joys, and all of its frustrations. And we created a product that, we hope, encompasses that love of the game.
The golf course maps are meticulously designed and lasered out of Baltic birch in exact precision. It's then sanded, stained and assembled by hand and put through multiple quality checks until it is carefully packaged and shipped.
What an honor it is for us to be able to operate a business based on the game we hold so dear.
