Research-backed templates, tools & handbooks
Most products for life's big decisions fall into one of two camps.
The first is generic and shallow — five tips, a checklist, a free template designed to get your email. The second is a 300-page book that costs you a Saturday afternoon before you can use any of it.
The Handbook Co. is the third option.
We publish research-backed templates, tools, and handbooks for adults navigating major life decisions. Career changes. First homes. Money resets. Weddings. Freelancing. Three product types, one standard:
▸ The Templates are what you fill in. Resumes, cover letters, planners, worksheets — each built for one specific task, each editable in 30 minutes, each anchored to the same evidence base as the Handbook it ships alongside.
▸ The Handbooks are the system. A 50-page PDF that explains why the template works, walks through worked examples, and gives you the 30-day plan to apply what you've drafted.
▸ The Tools are the smaller utilities you reach for mid-task. Keyword references, decision aids, diagnostic checklists. Five-minute downloads that answer one question well.
The principle across all three: treat the reader as an intelligent adult who happens to be new to a specific problem. Not a beginner who needs hand-holding. Not a customer who needs reassurance. Someone who wants the mechanics, the evidence, and the time budget to act.
Every claim is sourced. Every framework is built around a worked example, not a hypothetical. Every product tells you up-front whether it is the right one for your specific situation — and points you to a better fit if not.

A note from the publisher
I started The Handbook Co. because I kept buying the wrong thing. The free PDFs were too thin. The bestsellers were too long. The templates I downloaded were beautiful but assumed I already knew what to put in them. What I actually wanted was a research-backed system from someone who had done the work — and would tell me what was true, not what was reassuring.
If that is what you are looking for, you are in the right place.
