What do the words "lace shawl" remind you of?
Maybe the heirloom ones that our grannies used to wrap around their shoulders on special days - and oh so lovely they were, but a little stuffy and old-fashioned?
Or maybe the cobweb-thin stoles that you see on angelic actresses and models in fashion magazines?

HELL, NO!
A lace shawl is the perfect accessory, versatile and modern - it works for all ages, all styles and all body shapes!

In order to demystify this most useful of garments, I created THE DAINTY ONES: breezy little shawls that can be worn the traditional way or bunched up around your neck like a scarf, or knotted bandit-style, or sideways with the point draped on one shoulder.
I knit them in a sturdy Merino/nylon sport yarn that comes in all sorts of imaginative colorways; thus, they are nowhere as flimsy as traditional lace items.
THE DAINTY ONES have a knack for adventure and are not afraid of some rough treatment!

THE LAVISH ONES are the Dainty Ones' opulent cousins: bigger, more beautiful and complex, or worked in some precious, expensive yarn that was too beautiful and/or soft for me to put it down!
The downside is, they require some care, as they snag easily and will felt and be ruined if washed uncorrectly. But they're so charming that you can't stay mad at them!

THE HUMBLE ONES are unassuming and modest. It might be because they look objectively simple and unadorned, or because they've been knitted in acrylic or some other unexpensive yarn, or even because they started out fine but then something went wrong enough to make it unethical for me to sell them at full price.
They're still pretty, though, and the reduced price makes them ideal for people who are not ready to cough up larger sums for an accessory they're still on the fence about, or if you just want something to casually wrap around your neck and then toss on the back seat of the car, or even for a child who fell in love with mommy's beautiful shawl and wants one of her own, to swan around like a little princess!
