Hallo, ich bin Sommer! Ich bin eine Stay-at-Home-Mama für einen Drittklässler, den ich zu Hause unterrichte, und einen 6 Monate alten Jungen! In diesen Teilen ist viel los!
Bevor ich mit meinen Kindern zu Hause blieb, war ich viele Jahre lang Vorschullehrerin und Säuglings- / Kleinkinderzieherin. Ich habe auch meinen Master-Abschluss in Early Education. Ich habe erst angefangen, Kunst zu machen, als meine Tochter (die jetzt 8 Jahre alt ist) als Baby ein Nickerchen machte. Ich fing an, während ihres Nickerchens als kreatives Ventil zu malen, und es blieb hängen. Ich fing an, meiner Tochter Materialien für das Homeschooling zu machen und wurde wiederholt gebeten, auch Materialien für andere zu machen. Schließlich begann ich, meine Materialien zu verkaufen und The Knothole Tree war geboren! The Knothole Tree ist eine Ode an eines meiner Lieblingsbücher, To Kill a Mockingbird, in dem Boo Dinge für die Kinder herstellt und sie im Astloch des Baumes versteckt, damit sie sie finden können. Hi I’m Summer ! I’m a Stay-at home Mama to a third grader I homeschool and a 6 month old baby boy! It’s busy around these parts!
Before staying home with my kids, I was a preschool teacher and an infant/toddler educarer for many many years. I have my masters degree in Early Education as well. I didn’t start making art until my daughter (who’s now 8) would nap as a baby. I started painting during her naps as a creative outlet and it stuck. I started making my daughter materials for homeschooling and was asked repeatedly to make materials for others too. Eventually, I began selling my materials and The Knothole Tree was born! The Knothole Tree is an ode to one of my favorite books, To Kill a Mockingbird- where Boo makes things for the children and hides them in the tree’s knothole for them to find.
