The Knowledge Nook encourages and promotes learning through play!
My name is Erica, and I am a newbie to Etsy! I am a proud mom to 3 little ones- Michael, Ruby and Viviana. My oldest child has special needs and is where my story begins and the inspiration behind my shop! I had to figure out how to keep him engaged, focused and interested in the lesson I was trying to teach. He forced me to think outside of the box and I started making simple matching activity pages for him. Eventually, my 2-year-old joined in on the fun and I started creating pages for her too!
They made me realize how important it is to make learning fun rather than a frustrating task. I now love researching and creating new pages for children of all ages to enjoy. I spend weeks/months gathering information and curriculum before I create a binder. I want to make sure my binders are very hands on and have as many moving parts as possible! I also like to incorporate the following years curriculum into them as well, allowing room for your child to advance.
