The Lemon Daisy Office
Hi! My name is Kim and I hope my products speak to your sense of style.
We spend so much time at work. Let your work area reflect your personality. Decorate it with supplies that make a statement. My hope is that with my cute office supplies no one will ever wonder, ‘whose desk is that?’ Immediately, they will know it’s you!
This shop is my passion project. My real work is in Pediatric Physical Therapy, and this started as a way to brighten up my bulletin board.
About my push pins: I test each thumb tack that I use to make sure the shank won't come off. I literally try to break the shank off. I do get duds in my packages of thumb tacks, but it's important to me I only use the best ones.
I test to make sure each shank (the pointy part) is no less than 8mm. Having done this so long, I can usually tell by feel but I also have a ruler near me with a mark so I know for sure.
I use these at work and give them to friends, family and coworkers. I want to make sure the quality is very good. I take a lot of pride in my work.
I do not make the resin figures, but no one was selling the quality of push pin, strong shank that was 8mm long, that I wanted and I feel my push pins bring value to the market.
I found that a very long shank = a thicker shank. While that sounds nice, it gouged out holes in my cork boards. 8mm for me was the perfect balance between long enough to hold papers, not too big that it made deep holes and crumbled the cork.
I allow customers to mix and match to make their own set. I want everyone to have their perfect set.
I expanded into bookmarks. In the late 90s/early 2000s I was into scrapbooking and junk journaling. I bought and collected so many different papers which I now use for paper bookmarks. Since these papers are mostly vintage each bookmark is pretty much one of a kind. I might be able to make 3 or 4 bookmarks out of the same paper, but the images will land differently.
I also have paper clip bookmarks. These are my favorite! I chose soft grip paper clips so the papers/pages wouldn't get marks or dents from it gripping too tight. They are easier to pull out and put in as well.
I use special bails with the charms so they don't slide around the paper clip. That means the charm stays in the middle and you can always see the charm, it doesn't slide into the papers or pages.
The ones with a resin figure are all double sided. They look the same on both sides, no ugly backing! I really like cute things and do my best that all my products show off cuteness right along with their practical uses.
I'm always happy to see how people use my products! I love hearing the stories where my products go, the occasions and the many imaginative projects they were used for. Look at my reviews to see my customer's pictures. I hope you'll add yours, too!
