Welcome to The Light Factory.

What began as a weekend project to create the perfect chandelier, transformed into a cottage industry, The Light Factory. Ashlie’s first chandelier garnered comments and requests, so she began crafting bubble chandeliers for retail. With a background in business management and marketing and a passion for creation, Ashlie has carefully grown her business; always focusing on customer satisfaction and product quality.

“My goal is for the pieces we build to use modern materials like glass, steel, leather, brass, and nylon to hint at the beautifully organic or random shapes we see when we step outside. So when I'm designing a new piece I'm trying to find that juxtaposition of natural and sculptural that would be just as at home in a Manhattan apartment as it would be in a house by the lake. There's something extremely satisfying about using materials in a different and challenging way to come up with a unique piece. It’s even more satisfying when I've been able to work with a customer who can't quite describe exactly what they'd like, but we have a conversation, and there's a moment at the end of building when I know that I've hit the mark, and they're going to see their feelings in that piece when it arrives. Working one-on-one over the phone, email and in person to create the perfect light for my clients is a fantastic challenge that excites me every day. I love the process of creation and seeing the end product, but mostly I love knowing that someone is as happy with their chandelier as I am with mine. At the end of the day that’s what matters most. “

Please if you have any problems with your order.
Returns: I want you to be 100% satisfied with your product. You may return your light for any reason by contacting me at ashlie [!at] within 14 calendar days of fixture receipt. Product must be returned in new and salable condition, not previously installed, using the original packaging materials within 7 calendar days of notification (21 days after receipt) for refund to be issued. Refunds do not include 20% restocking fee or original shipping charges. Highly customized fixtures may not be eligible for return. Client is responsible for return shipping fees.

Shipping damage: We package our products are carefully as possible but occasionally damage can occur during shipment. If you receive your product with any damage please contact ashlie [!at] within 7 days of receipt for a replacement. You'll need to provide clear photos of the damaged box, packaging and/or product. Please keep the damaged box for inspection by FedEx.

Cancellations: You may cancel an order by contacting me at Ashlie [!at] within 3 days of placement. After this time cancellations will incur a 20% restocking fee. Highly customized fixtures or rush production items are NOT eligible for cancellation.
Payment is due in full at time of order. Prices do not include shipping or taxes (state of WA only). International customers are responsible for local duty and taxes upon receipt of the chandelier. Please be sure to check your countries fees and taxes so there won't be any surprises!
Shipping rates are listed in our shop based on location and always include insurance and tracking. Shipments are made via FedEx and require a signature for delivery.

International customers: Please send me your postal code for an accurate quote. If you purchase the chandelier before getting a quote it may be require an additional payment if shipping prices vary. VAT and duty fees are NOT included in the shipping and purchase price and are the buyers responsibility. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Frequently asked questions

Is the chandelier height adjustable?

Bubble Chandeliers: your electrician can trim the chandelier shorter during install but length can't be added. Because of this we recommend taking the time to determine the correct height you need and having us customize it for you. If you need help determining this height please let us know!

Other lighting: Unless noted, chandelier height is not adjustable due to fixed metal stem. If you need help determining the best height to hang your fixture please let us know!

How do I clean my Bubble Chandelier?

Before cleaning please make sure your chandelier is turned off and cool to the touch. Using the provided gloves gently wipe the glass bubbles to remove dust and fingerprints. For a heavier cleaning you may use a solvent free glass cleaner on a paper towel or cloth (never spray directly on bubbles). Take care not to pull on the wire attachment or let the bubbles knock into each other.

What size chandelier should I order?

Selecting the appropriate chandelier size depends on the size of the room and/or the chandelier’s relationship to furniture. Chandeliers above dining room tables should have a diameter of 1/2 to 2/3 the width of the table.
To size a chandelier as the focal point of any other space, such as foyers, living rooms, etc, measure the length and width of your room then add those figures together. The sum of those two numbers is the
approximate recommended diameter of your chandelier in inches.

That said, these are not hard and fast rules. Go with your gut and contact if you need any additional help!

Do you offer trade discounts?

Yes! If you're a trade professional please email with your professional business card, website or letterhead and one of the following: your resale certificate, company’s business license/EIN or your professional certification/membership.

What happens if a glass globe bubble breaks?

If a globe breaks during shipment or the first 30 days after receipt we will gladly replace it free of charge. Please email and include pictures of the broken glass globe(s). After this period you may purchase a replacement at our store.
