The Local Violet
Hi! My name is Katie and I co-own The Local Violet with my mom Christy. I absolutely love all things colorful, boho, and hippie. I was an elementary school teacher for 9 years. After having a little boy, my husband and I decided that I could stay home to take care of the little guy. Now I am a mother of two awesome children and have a great a love for fashion and creating things.
Christy has worked in insurance and home loans. She has a love for vintage things and repurposing old things. She loves to spend time with her six grandkids.
We both seem to have this innate desire to create things! We probably got it from my grandmother, Christy's mother. A few years ago, we were both looking for something to do where we could be creative and love our job at the same time. This is when The Local Violet was formed.
The Local Violet combines two styles Boho/Hippie + Simple/Southern. We love boho and hippie style. We also love southern, country, and funny sayings. Our items are great gifts for yourself or others. We take great pride in every step of the process- designing, making, packaging, and shipping. We want you to absolutely love your shopping experience with us!
