Built from my story, made for your journey.
After spending the majority of my childhood and teenage years (so far) battling mental illness, I was constantly thrown so much advice and instructions from people around me. Have a bath, have a cup of tea, do some colouring. Or my favourite one: “You just need to focus on the good things”. All of this was so hard to navigate, I was fighting to stay alive on a daily basis and it seemed like no one around me could relate or give me any actually helpful advice. I felt entirely hopeless. My social media blew up in early 2024 and just continued to accumulate over 100,000 followers in less than 3 months. I began to share mental health content from which I received so much positive feedback from people, getting messages from all over the world saying how much I helped them. I started to think about what more I could do to help those in mental health recovery, so I did a fundraiser, I sold merchandise for charity, I made YouTube videos. And then I thought about giving making mental health resources. That’s when The Mae Project was born. The Mae Project is an online resource hub, created from my story, advice from the depths of mental illness and tips from the highs of recovery. Everything I create is carefully thought out and designed to be user friendly and so as many people as possible can access it. The Mae Project is everything I wish I had access to when I was struggling. I hope that this can help you in any way shape or form. And if you’re reading this, know you’re not alone and I have your back through it all. All my love, Isabeau
