El propietario, Louis Meyer, ha dedicado décadas al estudio de la historia, el simbolismo y el significado, primero a través de la magia y la actuación, y posteriormente a través de estudios académicos formales. Tiene una licenciatura y una maestría en Religión, y siempre ha sentido un interés por la literatura clásica, la filosofía y los libros de bella factura.
Hoy en día, esos antecedentes dan lugar a un tipo de trabajo diferente: una curaduría cuidadosa.
Cada libro que se ofrece en esta tienda se selecciona no solo por su contenido, sino también por su presencia física: la encuadernación, la tipografía, las ilustraciones y la artesanía en general que hacen que valga la pena tenerlo, exhibirlo y volver a leerlo. Muchos de estos volúmenes provienen de editoriales y tradiciones respetadas que valoraban los libros como objetos perdurables, no como libros de bolsillo desechables.

Owner Louis Meyer has spent decades studying story, symbolism, and meaning — first through magic and performance, and later through formal academic study. He holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Religion, with a lifelong interest in classic literature, philosophy, and beautifully made books.
Today, that background informs a different kind of work: careful curation.
Each book offered in this shop is selected not only for its content, but for its physical presence — the binding, typography, illustrations, and overall craftsmanship that make a book worth owning, displaying, and returning to. Many of these volumes come from respected presses and traditions that valued books as lasting objects, not disposable paperbacks.
