Hi, I’m Amber Strong, the founder of The Makers Map and a lifelong lover of DIY projects, painting, crafting, and home decor
My creative journey began in 2013 when I started making home decor in my garage. That small beginning grew into a successful booth business, and in 2015, I opened The Rusty Nail Home Market. After several wonderful years, I closed the storefront in 2019 and transformed the business into what it is today
My team and I now design and manufacture unfinished wood craft kits and laser-cut wood blanks in our 5,500-square-foot warehouse using four commercial laser machines. Our products are created for makers who enjoy painting, crafting, decorating, and adding their own personal style to every project

My daughter-in-law, Michelle, is my assistant. She is married to my oldest son, Zach, who manages our shipping department. Together, they have two daughters and a son
My sister, April, carefully packs customer orders. My middle son, Dylan, cuts our craft kits, and my dad, Darrell, presses our T-shirts and helps process our T-shirt Club and monthly craft kit subscriptions
I am married to my husband, Mark, and we also have a younger son named Caden
