For the love of Minky!
This should really be titled, About Me! My name is Sara and I created the Minky Project because I absolutely fell in love with minky (cuddle) fabric about three years ago when my mom taught me how to quilt and sew. We bought a pattern for a quilt, picked out lovely fabrics and we were off on our first quilt making adventure. When picking out my fabric for the back I really wanted the soft cuddly fabric and asked if that was possible. I knew that traditionally you picked out a cotton, but being a rule breaker like usual I wanted something different. And why not combine the beautiful pieced, cotton quilt front, with a soft and extremely plush back? So, of course my mom made it happen! It was not the easiest first project to take on but we finished it and that is how I learned to cut, piece, sew, baste, etc.
From there my mom bought me a sewing machine for my birthday and I have been making quilts ever since. And I have yet to put anything besides my beloved minky on the back. I love it and I know you will too! Or maybe you already do, which is why you are here searching for the perfect color!
I created the Minky Project because through my endeavors I've learned that not all Minky is created the same. I currently only stock Shannon Fabrics because their quality is outstanding and I stand by their craftsmanship. If you do not see the color you are searching for please let me know and I will be happy to order it for you. I strive for great customer service and great prices, because happy customers and great products are what it's all about.
