The Note House fue desarrollado en 2009 por mí, Julie, una ex maestra de inglés de secundaria que vive en Carmel, Indiana con mi esposo, mi hijo y mi hija, ambos estudiantes universitarios. ¡Vamos, Hoosiers!
Como maestra, comencé cada mañana pidiéndoles a mis alumnos que escribieran cinco cosas por las que estaban agradecidos del día anterior. Les hice hincapié en la importancia de la palabra escrita, así como el concepto de estar agradecido por las pequeñas cosas. Si bien nunca dejé de calificar trabajos después de dejar la profesión docente, sí extrañé la salida creativa que me brindó, así nació The Note House.
Siempre me ha encantado la papelería y todo lo relacionado con ella. Cuando era niño, escribir cartas era uno de mis pasatiempos favoritos, y debido a este pasatiempo, mi relación con todos mis abuelos se fortaleció a pesar de que vivían a horas de distancia. Sigo alentando a mis propios hijos a que les escriban a sus abuelos con frecuencia.

The Note House was developed in 2009 by me, Julie, a former middle school English teacher living in Carmel, Indiana with my husband, and my son and daughter, both college students. Go Hoosiers!
As a teacher, I began each morning asking my students to write down five things they were grateful for about the previous day. I stressed to them the importance of the written word as well as the concept of being thankful for the little things. While I never missed grading papers after leaving the teaching profession, I did miss the creative outlet that it brought me, thus, The Note House was born.
I have always adored stationery and all that is related to it. As a child, letter writing was a favorite pastime of mine, and because of this hobby, my relationship with all of my grandparents was strengthened even though they lived hours away. I continue to encourage my own kids to write to their grandparents often.
