Turning clutter into a business!
I have been selling items online at various venues for many years but I decided to start selling sewing patterns exclusively because I had become an overly zealous collector of sorts. I have been collecting contemporary sewing patterns since the early 90's after moving to Atlanta and about two years ago I decided it was time I started selling most of them because I wasn't ever going to use the vast amount of patterns I had collected. So this business was born out of the necessity for me to thin out my stash.
I came to love vintage patterns for my own personal needs. The things I was seeing in the pattern books just looked a bit too trendy and young, lacking the style and sophistication of the clothes of decades past. So I began to pick up a few here and there until I had a hoard of those too!
I do love fashion, but a girl has to draw the line when she has no more room for her shoes and bags! So I decided to sell online at Etsy and I haven't looked back since.
I think every pattern has a person looking for it and I'm trying to bring you two together!
