Custom and personalized orders

Unfortunately we do not have custom or personalized orders at this time. However, this may be something that comes to the shop in the near future.

Why do some half pans cost more than others?

Prices may vary based on the pigments used in manufacturing these handmade paints. As the prices of the raw materials can sometimes vary, so does the price of the final product.

What makes a “Limited Edition” color limited edition?

A color is given the designation of “limited edition” due to the inability to source more of the pigment or other raw materials necessary to recreate the color.

I will, however, do my best in noting similar colors and providing color comparison charts whenever possible.

What paper works best for these watercolors?

These watercolors are quite versatile and can be used on different types of paper.

Any type of watercolor paper (hot/cold pressed) will be suitable because of their ability to handle loading water onto the surface.

They may also be used in notebooks and planners. However, I recommend using less water when applying your paint to prevent excessive buckling/warping of the paper. This is a trial by error method.

My personal favorite it to use these paints on “slicker thicker” paper such as cardstock (typically 65lb weight). The reason being is that the mica particles sit on top of the smoother paper surface making them shine bright and the thicker paper resists warping fairly well.

What’s the best way to activate these paints?

The best way to activate these watercolors is to place a drop of clean water into the center of your pan and let sit for a few seconds before swirling. Load up your brush and have some fun!

Care instructions

It’s advisable to store watercolor paints in a dry place when not in use.

After use, allow watercolors to dry completely before storing away to prevent wet colors from accidentally staining/migrating to adjacent half pans.
