W I L D + P R E C I O U S
All my life, I've been under the spell of animals as guidance. Animals are part of our shared vocabulary as human beings and I'm fascinated by how well they serve as messengers for our intuition. When I have a dilemma or problem, I often look to animals for what perspective they have to teach me about the situation.
I’m an artist based in St. Louis, Missouri. I spent my childhood in Southeast Asia and my adult life in the United States. My art style is also an amalgam of cultures, influenced by Audubon, Chinese paintings from the Song Dynasty, and my formal training in stone lithography.
I’m also inspired by ancient wisdom traditions of my native Philippines – the belief that a maker can infuse objects with positive energy, that others can connect with and benefit from that intention. So I create art and collaborate with other artists to bring art into the world in the form of delightful everyday treasures (jewelry, stationery, fashion accessories, home goods, and gifts).
