About

Giving New Life to Old Antiques and Collectibles

As a lifelong collector of various things, I've often thought it sad how most of us merely put our antiques and collectibles on careful display or in storage, worried that too much handling will degrade the value. They are treated more like an investment and the collector can't truly enjoy them or use them in the same way as the original owner. So, I came up with a way to bring new life to collectibles with an ounce of modification, making jewelry from vintage bottle openers and small hardware. First, I try to put the collector value out of my head. Then, I turn them into conversation-piece fashion items that are practical—you can still use them as originally intended. It's become a nice creative outlet for me and a way to make a little extra money here and there.
