Here is my story:

Hello! My name is Maletha. I've had a shop here on Etsy since 2010. I live in the “hills” of Pilot Mountain, NC. It’s a nice community with wonderful people and the perfect place to raise your family.

My interest in jewelry making began when I was a child where I made friendship bracelets using embroidery floss. I’ve always had a need to create with my hands and made many things. My Grandmother was my inspiration. She was a quilter and a Gardner who also loved to work with her hands. It wasn't until later on in life that I would find myself creating again but this time with metal, leather and beads. There was a point in my life where I needed an escape to help me deal with life circumstances. So I registered myself for my 1st class at a local visual art school in 2011. It was here where I learned how to convert sheets of metal and wire into jewelry by hammering, filing, forming and soldering. I fell in love with the process of creating. I also found that it was very therapeutic and as time went by, it became a passion of mine. I always enjoy working out of my home here in Pilot Mountain, NC where I find my work bench as an escape from reality. I gravitate towards the creation of rustic jewelry.... nature and southern inspiration with a little bit of bohemian flair. I enjoy creating jewelry that is simple and meant for casual wearing. I do like repurposing items on occasion. I love turning something old into something beautiful.

My hope is that the person making the decision to purchase from my shop will find something uniquely made and know that it was made with love and will wear it in years to come. ❤ I thank God for blessing me with the skills to create with my hands. I can only hope He continues to guide me on the path He chooses for me.
