Purchased for my 4 year old grandson to use in the lake at our house. I was impressed with the size and simplicity of the design. It is very sturdily built, has a peg to tie your string and the string is wrapped around a handhold peg. I've been looking for a while and this was perfect for simple old fashioned boat play. The wood and finish are very professional looking. The sail will not fly off as it is wrapped around the mast. When my Grandson opened it his eyes lit up and he wanted to keep it at his house (for now). Would make a great decoration in a boys room as well. It was a winner. Shop owner was friendly, helpful and prompt service. Very pleased.

I have always created. From DIY practicalities to handmade gifts, every stage of my life has included the art of hand crafting. Having children brought this passion to a new level and, from this, The Sandy Path was born.

My husband, Tommy, and I created The Sandy Path after several years of making beautiful Waldorf inspired toys for our children. We learned early on the importance of surrounding them with open-ended toys made from natural materials. Playsilks instantly became a staple in our home and have remained the most played with item year after year.

With years of woodworking experience, Tommy has created everything from dollhouses to backyard tree houses. His mind is constantly scheming up a new plan or design. He is a perfectionist with an eye for craftsmanship. These qualities are found in all of our products.
