Seneca Studio represents a lifelong dream of mine to converge engineering & design with craftsmanship & artistry in a way that connects with people on a personal level. Rather than just serve a purpose or be consumed, my work is intended to inspire, captivate, and transform your surroundings.
Often inspired by Nature and the history of an object, my handcrafted lighting & furnishings incorporate metal & wood with my background in design & engineering. From centuries old oak boards from a barn to a piece of drift wood found on the Potomac River, each piece has a story and character. I strive to bring life to those stories with attention to detail, engineered design elements, and true craftsmanship.
My work consists of both original designs & commissioned pieces. I utilize engineering principles & techniques, such as computer aided design (CAD), in conjunction with traditional metalworking & woodworking to turn concepts into products. I enjoy working with people & love the satisfaction of creating one of a kind pieces for customers. If you have an idea for something original, please contact me. If you live in the Washington DC area, I am available for in person consultations.
