When it comes to my jewelry, my brother, Andy Martin, was my inspiration. He started carving jewelers wax when he was going to Harvard. When he was diagnosed with cancer several years later, he used the carving as a therapeutic distraction. Upon his death in 2004, I had copies made of his Life After Cancer II to give as a thank you to his friends. Since that time, I started taking jewelry classes to learn how to work with his pieces. I found a passion for it myself and even taught classes locally.
We both did artwork since we were very young and my dad's home office walls show the evolution of both of our work (along with our younger sister's).
Professionally, I am an interior designer. Artwork and jewelry are both hobbies and passions of mine.
