About Smart Hut
Founded on the idea that, your smart home should belong to you. At Smart Hut we stock only products we trust and believe in or make ourselves, we have the same enthusiasm for home automation as you do.
All our products will always:
Work with Open Source Home automation software like, Home Assistant
Work locally with no reliance on the cloud or an active internet connection
Be based on Open Firmware where possible
We're a small business based in the East Midlands in the UK. We're glad to offer assistance and guidance for all our products, we love to see how you integrate and use our products.
What we do
We sell our own products plus a carefully curated selection of smart home products that we love. We have a passion for helping you to find high quality products for your smart home that don't fall over just because the internet is down.
What we make
We don’t just sell things, we make things too! Along with a selection of products made for us (like our plugs) and our carefully curated selection of third party products we create our own range of in house designed PCB's, mounts and cases. All of which run open firmware and can be re-flashed with firmware of your choosing (if that's what you're into :) )
As well as developing our own products we're always open to creating bespoke products, including custom boards for conferences, sensor boards for measuring air quality and more. Contact us (or use live chat) if that's something you're interested in, we'll be happy to help.
