What is handmade vintage charm?
Many of my junk journals and other handmade items contain vintage elements such as books, papers, and recycled items. Therefore sometimes the pages may show some marks, wrinkles, and wear, which I believe adds to its “vintage charm.”
At times when one is creating, there may be little tears in a brown paper bag, or wrinkles on a page, but sometimes those little details fit perfectly with the rustic look needed. There are no mistakes with “Junk” Journaling. With each project, I hope to create a unique piece of art with “vintage charm.”
A great deal of time and effort goes into the making of every item in my shop. I hope each recipient will enjoy using each item as much as I enjoyed creating it.
What are a few Hints on using your Junk Journal as a Travel Journal?
People often use a Travel Journal as a Memory Book or Keepsake from their travels. The journal can document one trip or several.
While some may write a daily entry about their day’s adventures, other’s may choose to write occasionally, or just use captions.
Many people like to add bits and pieces into the journal to document their travels.
Here are a few ideas: photos, postcards, pieces of brochures, receipts from restaurants, ticket stubs, small items like a flower or a leaf can be taped inside!
You could even sketch or doodle in your journal!
Anything goes!
The point is that every Junk Journal is different, just as every person is different.
There are NO rules with Junk Journaling so enjoy your Journal any way that works for YOU!
