Hi! I’m Tamara, a homeschooling mom of four living in Arizona.
When we started homeschooling, I decided to teach Latin to my kids after learning about its benefits for understanding grammar, building vocabulary, and strengthening their knowledge of English. The only problem? I had never taken Latin myself.
So, for the past several years, I’ve been learning right alongside my kids.
Along the way, I’ve grown to genuinely love the language—the history behind it, the beauty of the words, and the meaning packed into so many of its phrases.
At some point, I started wondering why I couldn’t find shirts featuring some of my favorite Latin words and sayings in a style I would actually want to wear. I pictured something with an old collegiate, vintage feel—simple, timeless, and meaningful.
I searched, but I couldn’t find quite what I had in mind.
The idea stayed with me for a while until I finally decided: why not make them myself?
And that is how this little collection began.
What started with wanting a vintage Latin-inspired shirt has grown into this collection influenced by the things I love—faith, heritage, the desert I call home, and words worth remembering.
This shop is an extension of The Workout Mama, my website where I’ve been writing and sharing about faith, homeschooling, motherhood, and healthy living. What began years ago as a place to share pieces of our family life has grown right along with me, and I love that this shop now gives me another creative way to share some of the things that have become meaningful to our family.
