This is a tie-dye studio, and tie-dye called 扎染 in China.

I remember the first time I saw the indigo which is a tie-dye textile in 2014. Then, I learned the tie-dye skills on the Internet, and I opened this shop on Oct 6, 2014. But I didn't insist on building and running it, because I thought that it is less of what I know about the tie-dye.

I decided to see the real tie-dye textiles in the world.

I have been to Yunnan and Guizhou which are the birthplace of tie dyeing in China, and I lived in here nearly 6 months. It was tough at first to find people who can teachs me to make some tie-dye textiles, because I have no friends in here. Another week , I saw a old woman who are making a tie-dye cloth, so I went to have communication with her, and she shared a lot of things about the tie-dye to me, such as tools, skills, culture. She became my mentor, and I practiced with her everyday.

Then, I reopened this shop, and I will develop new collections from concept sketches, to dyeing, sewing and shipping the final products. When there's free time, I'm painting in my room or eating my favourite food in another city.

I decide to quit my day job On Nov, 2015. Because I found that I miss designing and took a leap of faith and sell my products full time. What started out as a hobby became something bigger.

Now, I keep on to dyed the plant dyes products with my team. I hope I will make more creative indigo products and make us life more beautiful.
