ThinkBigImages is inspired by my Father who was an artist and photographer
I was raised around art and photography my entire life as my Father was a Belfast born and based artist who had his own art gallery, Centre Art in the city during the 1970's and 1980's.
My father passionately painted and promoted unknown artists and also arranged and promoted many street exhibitions in the City Centre of Belfast outside the City Hall in an era known as the troubles in Belfast and Northern Ireland during the late 1960's and 1970's.
My Father was also a photographer from the early 1980's through to the early 2000's and processed his photographs in our home in his darkroom. From an early age I loved to draw and paint and take photographs and develope my prints in my Fathers darkroom with him guiding me from a young age.
I was always artistic throughout school with my best subjects being art and technical drawing and anything creative. I now work in the design and printing industry,
My Fathers last art exhibition was called "Think Big Roll Your Own" which was a name placed within a 1960's iconic abstract he created using pictures such as the Beatles, and iconic symbols and people related to that era. See if you can find these words in the picture!
With my creative interests and photography being inspired by my Father I thought of the name "ThinkBigImages" for my photography after my Fathers last art exhibition that he held.
My Father was also very keen to travel which I enjoy traveling also and combining this with photography, it lets me enjoy two passions together and I get great satisfaction capturing and creating lasting images.
I hope that you enjoy my shop and please check back again for new images and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
I look forward to making contact with you!
Thank you,
Chris
