How My Shop Came To Be
I started my shop several years ago but it only came to life last fall. That was when it finally got a name and I entered my first listing. Since then my shop has grown and I've learned a lot about selling on Etsy and still have much to learn.
I have always gravitated toward vintage items even before it was cool. I loved the idea of finding 'treasures' in the thrift stores and rummage sale. Things I could afford on my limited teenage salaries. Maybe it grew out of being the youngest of six children. I was often the grateful recipient of hand me down toys as my siblings grew out of them. More for me!
That love of the used persisted and now I get to share my best finds. I can buy a skirt that doesn't fit knowing it will find it's forever home on Etsy. I also get to live for a short time with cool vintage items without having to find a permanent place in my home for them. I'm sort of a way station before they move on.
I also love books so there are plenty of vintage books in my shop. Nowadays I do most of my own reading via a computer screen. I still love actual books though. There is something about a picture in a book that is just better than on the computer screen.
I'm always happy to answer any questions you have about the items in my shop. And if there is anything that I can help you find hit the Custom Request button. Enjoy your visit!
