Scooter Booties was started in 2012 by Brittany Chapman, a young woman who dared to follow her passion of sewing. Armed with a bag of fabric scraps and an old Singer Sewing machine that she had owned since the age of 8, Brittany accidentally launched a hobby into a full blown brand and business that has grown past just Etsy and into stores across the country. Since then, over 75,000 pairs of shoes have warmed little toes in over 37 countries, spanning over 6 continents. (C’mon Antarctica!)

Scooter Booties are proudly made in Meridian, Idaho in Brittany’s home studio, where she lives with her two adopted daughters, ages 5 and 6, and a very old black cat who still has some spunk in her. The girls like to help her with orders sometimes, putting shoes into bags and affixing shipping labels to packages. They are happy being paid with goldfish crackers and endless games of Candyland. However, Brittany also has two slightly taller sewing assistants who like to be paid in real money: Sara and Ivy, who are both work-from-home-moms with their own busy families and beautiful children.
