Unique * Trendy * Personalized * Bling --"One thread at a time!"
I started sewing at a young age (once sewing my finger) and participated in a local 4-H sewing club. Back then I loved making my own Barbie doll clothes, pillows, and anything else I could think of. I can remember my mom and I buying fabric kits at the local fabric shop for pillows and making pillows for everyone. When I got older, I had hoped to someday buy a sewing machine that I could embroider with. I finally had that chance a while back and loved it. I soon became interested in digitizing my own designs and vinyl, glitter, and rhinestone appliques. I also developed a passion for web design and decided to go back to college. I recently received my degree in Web Design & Development.
My inspiration comes from many areas. I love color, nature, and anything artistic. I’m always looking at the small details in something and get excited when a new idea pops into my head. As a teenager, I was a professional roller skater. Yes, that was some time ago when kids actually went to roller rinks. My brother and I skated pairs together and practiced 5-6 days a week. We won several local competitions, regional competitions, and placed third in the United States. We had always hoped to make it to the Olympics but roller skating never made it there. The discipline I learned from being a professional skater is why I feel I am able to keep on task, staying focused and goal oriented in my life today.
In 2008, I purchased a commercial embroidery machine and a short time later started THREADTAILS. I started out selling on Ebay, local consignment shops, and word of mouth.
I have come a long ways since I first started out. I now sell items including bling transfers, rhinestone, vinyl and glitter applique shirts, totes, beaded tassels, notebook journals, and more.
