5 out of 5 starsKelly has once again created something beautiful. In this day and age, it isn’t always easy to buy someone something that is such a one of a kind, luxury piece. I also love that I can feel good about where this came from and how it was made. It is special from the beginning of its creation with the bunnies (thank you, Hilda and Flossie!) through Kelly’s transformation into yarn, and then her beautiful work to make a luxurious product. Love Kelly’s work!

5 out of 5 starsKelly’s work is simply beautiful. She completes the order really quickly, even at the holidays, and the quality is just excellent. I now have two pieces from Kelly and her bunnies (thank you, Beatriz and Hilda!). They are so special and I will treasure them. So glad I can feel good about how they were made (humane to the bunnies and excellent workmanship by Kelly).

5 out of 5 starsI love the hat I purchased. It is so soft. The colors are lovely, and it has bloomed so nicely. I have wanted to have an angora hat, but one that is made responsibly and not harming animals. This hat is beautiful, and Kelly’s work is really lovely. I’m so happy!

5 out of 5 starsBreathtaking! Kelly spun the beautiful yarn (thank you, Beatritz!) and custom-made this cap, using a vintage pattern. She is amazing to work with, keeping me posted every step of the way - I could not be happier. Ladies, treat yourself to this practical little luxury!

5 out of 5 starsThis silky-soft yarn works up beautifully and the best thing is knowing it comes from an angora rabbit named Hilda, lovingly brushed by her owner, the fur then hand spun with care.

Musician Adopts Cottage Fiber Industry
Three Rabbit Yarns is owned and operated by Kelly Bohling in Lawrence, Kansas. The business was started by three brothers, who were all....Angora Rabbits! Three Rabbit Yarns now has five fluffy French Angora rabbits living here, and all of the products are collected, spun, dyed, knit, and designed by Kelly. We sell fiber, yarn, and finished products, all produced on site. Our practices are environmentally friendly and humane.
We currently have rabbits that produce pure white, a few different shades of grey, and tan fiber. They grow three coats simultaneously and can produce as many as four coats per year. We allow their coats to develop naturally, collecting the wool as it is molted. We do not shear the rabbits unless we must to keep them cool during summer. Because of its longer staple length, unsheared (molted) fiber produces superior yarns. You can rest assured that no animals are harmed during this process, as sometimes is the case in larger commercial operations.
In addition to operating Three Rabbit Yarns, Kelly Bohling is a professional violinist, experienced in both classical music and Celtic folk.
