5 out of 5 starsFirst, this came out perfect. I used a dark red stain for the trim, and a black walnut stain for the box itself, and I replaced the center decoration with a tribal sea turtle. It really is beautiful. One thing to note- the top trim is slightly bigger than the box top itself, and so the four sides will have some sharp points sticking out past the edges. I like the ones on the sides, but the front and rear ones I was able to push in because the rectangle is flexible. You could leave them, you could bend them in like I did, or you could reduce the total size of that one shape by as little as 5%.
