I recently relocated to beautiful Pacific Grove, California .
I have been designing my Ancient Charms line of jewelry since 1987.
Around 15 years ago, I was introduced to Steampunk, and was immediately inspired to design Time Trinkets, my Steampunk line! I thoroughly love dressing up in costumes from other eras, so designing for the Steampunk genre was just a natural progression for me.
My third grade teacher Mrs. Flacks, told me that I was destined to be an artist, so the die was cast early! After majoring in Ceramics at Florida State University where I also learned Jewelry Making and Weaving, I moved to California where my artistic endeavors continued. My cousin brought me to the Northern California Renaissance Faire and I was smitten... I found my "tribe"...
In 1991, I finally opened a booth of my own at the faire, called Ancient Amulets. I went back to school at UC Santa Cruz where I got my degree in Theater Arts with an emphasis in Costuming. My Senior Thesis was a series of wild animal masks that I made out of papier mache'...
As luck would have it, I found my way into film work as a Set Costumer, joined the union and was lucky to be involved in the industry for many fascinating years.
As you can see I have worked in many different areas of Art, and I enjoy them all!
