Good communication with the owner of the shop. Gave this as a gift and he loved it!
A Quirky Friend and People in Need
A quirky friend of mine asked me a few years ago to teach her how to crochet with the purpose of her crocheting a beard. Naturally, I said yes. I started looking for free patterns for crocheted beards. Not finding any I liked, I made my own, and now it is my best-selling item in my store.
Another thing that happened a few years ago is that I learn about Kiva.org and the small charity Awareness, Respect, Compassion (www.arcnow.info). I live by the words, "Those who have the ability to act have the responsibility to act." Since I can crochet (and prolifically at that) and since I make some income through my shop, I chose to start supporting ARC and loans on Kiva (my lender page: kiva.org/lender/feliciakulp).
Check out Kiva and ARC and of course my shop! Cheers! :]

A graduate student at the University of Texas at Austin, studying avian paleontology. A recent graduate at the University of Maryland College Park in Biochemistry and Ecology and Evolution. I crochet a lot, and donate a lot.
If you have any questions about anything in my shop, feel free to contact me by email. However, since I hold a very busy graduate class schedule, it may take me a day or so to get back to you.
