Frequently asked questions

Do you accept returns, exchanges or alterations after delivery?

Due to the custom nature of the item, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or requests for alterations after delivery. We ask that you communicate any specific requests through our message conversation during the order process. We only know about a preference or request if you specify it in your message. We will always do our best to accommodate your requests!

Please be aware that handmade goods are not mass-produced. There may be slight variations in color, texture, or stitching. All of my handmade products are made with quality in mind. If you have an issue with any product you receive, please reach out to me via Etsy message, and I will do my best to resolve it.

Care instructions

For all fabric, cork, and vegan leather accessories, spot-clean only, using a mild soap if necessary. DO NOT put it in a laundry machine or a dryer!

For clothing items, please wash items inside out in cold water, do not bleach, do not dry clean, and do not iron directly on the design.

For all other products, please see the care instructions in the description of the item.

What are the sizing details? What if it doesn't fit after I try it on?
A detailed size chart is available in all listings. It is the buyer's responsibility to select the correct size.

Shipping problems

TimeWovenStudio is not liable for packages that are delayed in transit, lost by the shipping carrier, or stolen - all circumstances beyond our control. Once we hand your item over to the shipping carrier, it is their responsibility to deliver it. Please contact the shipping carrier directly regarding delays or lost packages. If you suspect mail theft, you can obtain the GPS coordinates of the last scan point from the shipping carrier and file a mail theft report with your local police department.

My order did not reach me on time. Can I return it?
Sometimes transit times across all our shipping carriers are delayed, and this is especially true during the holiday season. We cannot guarantee that a shipment will arrive by a specific date.

Right to refuse service

I truly want all my customers to be happy, but on rare occasions, the artist and buyer may not be a good match. Part of the joy of Etsy is connecting artists directly with customers. But artists are people, without the infrastructure of corporations. This means that occasional days off and holidays may impact my ability to respond right away. I appreciate ALL of my customers and want everyone to be happy sharing a piece of my vision, but if the interaction starts to feel not right, I reserve the right to refuse service.

* Also, please note that one-star reviews are refused future service as it shows we are not a good fit. If you encounter any issues, please reach out to me for a resolution before you decide a one-star review is the answer.

Do you offer refunds under any circumstances?

There are no refunds since every item is unique. If an item breaks during shipment, we have insured it for up to $100, and you can submit the claim to USPS online to have that amount sent to you as a check in the mail. If you would like more than $100 of insurance, please let us know at the time of purchase.

*Note that when submitting an insurance claim, **You MUST have photos of the item and the box/packaging, and you must retain the box/packaging to take to the post office if proof of damage is require Shipping insurance MAY also require that the customer take the damaged item to a waste yard for disposal and obtain proof of disposal.

**Note that any damage must be reported to our shop within 48 hours of the package arriving.

If a sale starts after I place my order will you refund the difference?

The price paid is the price of the item at the time of your order. For example, if the item is in a 10% off sale a week after you order, we do not go back and refund all previous customers that 10% off amount.

What if my item is returned to the sender/seller after it's shipped?

If a customer's order is returned to the sender/seller for ANY reason, the customer is responsible for the re-shipment cost. If I receive a return shipment, I will reach out via Etsy messaging to attempt to resolve any address errors.

Note that I use the shipping information received from Etsy directly. I do not change shipping addresses unless you reach out directly.

If the shipping charges exceed Etsy-calculated shipping, the customer will be responsible for the difference.

Custom and personalized orders

Proofs for custom orders are not standard. If you would like a proof of your order, please include the proof listing in the shop.

If you select to add a proof we will send it within one business day through Etsy messages. If we do not receive a response on the approval of proofs for custom orders, we will wait 1 week, then place the order and ship it. We need to adhere to shop deadlines and can not hold orders beyond a certain date.
