My passion for woodworking began with my first wood shop class in middle school. At first it was the idea of getting to use all these cool tools! Then the smells of the different woods as we ran them through the saws and sanders. Finally, I was amazed to see what was a blank slab of wood turned in to something beautiful!
I discovered that when I think of a project, I just 'see' it in my head. I think about all the different pieces, the cuts, the layout, how things will be assembled, and it all comes together when I design and build it.
At 16, I saved money from my first job to buy my first tools. A small table saw, a random orbit sander and a jig saw. I began making projects in the garage, and the rest is history!
Today, my shop consists of a detached two car garage that I have filled with the tools of the trade. I have a laser engrave, small CNC machine, a slew of saws, planers, sanders, routers, drills and the like, and spend as much time as possible out there creating things for people to enjoy.
Woodworking isn't my full-time job. It's been a lifelong hobby. I truly enjoy creating the projects I do, and seeing and hearing about how happy they make my customers! I also believe in pricing things to make them a win-win for me and my customers. I obviously need to make more than what my projects cost to build, but also want my products to be affordably priced so my customers can enjoy them without breaking the bank!
I think if you start purchasing some of my products, you will find that I produce high quality projects, often out of solid hardwoods, with attention to detail and usability.
