Built by a Nurse, After a Long Shift.
I started my nursing career in a mixed unit ICU working with everything from cardiac surgery to kidney transplants and everything in between. I loved that work, but I got burned out during the pandemic — and we welcomed our first kid in 2020, right in the thick of it. In 2022 when my daughter was born I took a step back, and worked in the recovery room part time to be at home with the kids more.
I've always loved working with my hands, anything DIY from woodworking to wrenching on cars or climbing 50ft up into a tree to trim some dead branches that are about to fall on my house. I've always been fascinated by 3D printing, and in 2024 I finally got my first printer. I started teaching myself CAD and making things to help around my workshop. I posted some of my designs online for others to print and found that I was pretty good at this! I focused primarily on woodworking things at first, but what I know the most about is nursing, and that is where my focus is today.
I've designed a lot of practical and useful prints, but currently I'm having a ton of fun and success with some silly badge charms! I love reading the reviews of stories from work where people notice these cute little charms or even earrings, so make sure you share the fun with me! Let me know if you have any fun ideas for me to try and model, I'm always game to try :)
