The Story: Tiny Toes Design began when I had my son. While pregnant, I struggled to find artwork that would appeal to my baby boy, as well as to me. To me, cartoons, clipart and stock photography looked cheap and lacked a unique factor. As a result, I was inspired to create the artwork myself.
Passionate about animals, wildlife, and the environment, I wanted the art to incorporate the beautiful and iconic creatures of our amazing planet. And having our very own little lion - Diablo our red-headed tabby - I cleverly incorporated him into each piece for the nursery.
After my son was born, my artwork became the focus of our daily wake-up ritual. To this day, he loves animals and continues to enjoy my artwork. To see the joy the art brings him and how his face lights up during our discussions is such reward. His smile is worth every second spent on those pieces.
The Perfect Nursery Décor:
As a mom, I know how important it is to create a beautiful, photo worthy room for your perfect bundle of joy. As a result, I look to create pieces that can easily be integrated into any type of nursery – classic or modern, dark or light furnishings, colorful or neutral. You can be sure that my artwork will go beautifully with whatever ambiance you create for your baby girl or baby boy.
Although animals, by far, are my favorite subject, I've taken great pleasure in expanding my portfolio over the years. Whether I'm creating dinosaurs, fantasy and fairytale creatures, space art and of course, things that go, each piece is thoughtfully and lovingly painted and illustrated.
Unique Factor:
Your child is unique and special, and so it seems only appropriate that the artwork you hang on his or her walls is, too. I take great pride in creating unique pieces you won’t find anywhere else. All of my original artwork is painted or illustrated by hand using various mediums, including (but not limited to) watercolors, markers, pencils and pastels.
Art as an Investment:
I know that so much of what we buy as parents tends to be short-term – the clothes, the toys, the carseats, etc. Whether you purchase a print or an original piece of artwork, you are getting the highest quality product. Although my artwork may start as nursery décor, it can grow with your child and your family. Your investment will bring smiles to all ages for years to come.
