Frequently asked questions
How do I download my files?
After payment, go to You > Purchases and reviews on etsy.com and click "Download files" next to your order (in the Etsy app: open the order under Purchases). Etsy also emails you a download link. Files download best on a computer.
What paper size do I need?
Escape rooms come as two PDFs: US Letter (8.5 x 11 in) and A4. Cross-stitch patterns are US Letter; on A4 just choose "Fit to page" in the print dialog. Any home printer works.
Any printing tips?
Print at 100% / "Actual size" so cut-out pieces and chart grids stay the right size. Plain paper is fine; card stock is nice for escape-room hint cards and the certificate. Black & white works for the escape rooms' puzzles and the cross-stitch symbol charts; colour is nicer for covers and colour charts. Some puzzles need scissors.
What photo should I send for a custom pet pattern?
An original photo from your phone or camera (not a screenshot), at least 1000 pixels on the short side, sharp focus on the eyes, good daylight, one pet filling most of the frame. Only photos you took yourself. We don't chart human faces, logos, cartoon characters or artwork.
Can I use the escape rooms in my classroom or share the files?
Each purchase covers one household or one classroom (the office edition covers one office or team). Please don't share or resell the files. Running an event for several groups? Message us about a larger licence.
Can I sell what I stitch?
Yes, you're welcome to sell or gift the pieces you stitch from our patterns. Please don't share or resell the PDF pattern itself.
