I ordered the brown leather mantle. It arrived faster than I expected and the quality was amazing. I would definitely order from this shop again and recommend others to do the same

Purchased an antique firefighter helmet. It was shipped right away, came by USPS requiring signature, the item was in great shape and looked like what was advertised on the website. Very happy with the purchase.

Great quality mask! I received so many compliments on it during fairs. The mask is quite comfortable to wear and I can breath in it no problem. I can see myself buying more masks from this seller in the future :D
I have no formal art training, and am largely self-taught. As a child I was fascinated with helmets and other hats, and I collected them. My love affair with leather began in 1972 when I got a job at Lake Tahoe making belts, purses and sandals. Four years later I started a business designing and making men’s Western leather hats which sold all over the United States. After selling that business I dabbled in woodcarving for a number of years which led eventually to learning how to cast in resin.
My business than became casting custom resin trophies and figurines, which I did for many years, and much of that work consisted of imitating other materials: bronze, marble, wood, etc. In 2008 I discovered leather maskmaking and that has been my passion—and my business—ever since.
In my creative leatherwork I draw on my experience with resin and incorporate resin components into my steampunk artwork, and the combination of materials gives a richer look than I could achieve in either material alone.
Today I find my greatest creative expression in fantasy masks. I love experimenting and seeing how leather behaves when cut and soaked and twisted. I love the shapes and the colors, and how my masks and helmets can instantly transform the wearer into a whole other character.
My studio is in the small rural town of Penn Valley, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in northern California.

The leather masks are quite durable. When storing them, keep them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. The worst enemy is water, as the masks will soften and distort when wet, so don't wear them in the rain, in the pool, or in the shower. Heat will dry them out and make the leather crack. No regular maintenance is required. If they become soiled, wipe with a soft cloth.
