All out-of-state furniture orders get 'crated.' We safely house the furniture piece within a padded, reinforced SHIPPING CRATE that sit on fastened skids allowing the LTL freight carriers to lift and easily move with pallet jacks or forklifts.

The size and weight greatly depend on the furniture piece its housing. A small crate housing, say, a single night stand would only add about 30 lbs to the total shipping weight. Larger crates with furniture inside can weigh as much as 150-175 lbs. total. Helpful tip ---> Moving roller dollies are a great way for a single (physically capable) adult to move a crate short distances on a level surface.

We recommend you use a POWER DRILL and have both square + phillips drive bits on hand. Start by unscrewing the top panel, then followed by unscrewing the panel labeled 'FRONT.' With these two panels removed you should have enough of the furniture piece exposed to safely and gently remove from the crate.

We use a natural oil-wax blend. This is an organic, solvent-free, environmentally-safe finish. It is microporous and will not crack, flake, peel or blister. When dry, it is safe for humans, animals and plants.

We apply by hand-rubbing it into the wood grain, it then penetrates and WITHIN the wood, not on top, it dries and hardens. Originally developed as a floor finish, which implies durability is a none issue. Never have I seen a wood finish naturally accentuate the grain more beautifully. Does this finish require more work and time? Most certainly. But do clients soon understand why it's worth it once they receive our furniture pieces? I would certainly hope so.

We use a natural wax/oil finish. To put it lightly, it's the best of both worlds. Quicker dry times, with deeper natural oil finish beauty. That doesn't mean it's indestructible, though. Like any wood finish, it does wear down or get damaged over time, BUT the greatest thing about solid wood furniture? You can spot repair OR completely refinish and continue to enjoy for many more years. Luckily, the finish we use makes this process far easier (relatively speaking).

Tips:
- Use coaster and hot plates.
- Wipe up spilled liquids immediately.
- DO NOT clean using citrus based or silicon-based products, like Pledge.
