A Passion For All Things Colour
Ho iniziato a lavorare a maglia quando ero ancora a scuola e ho continuato a sviluppare la mia attività di "maglieria cottage", che all'epoca era fantastica. Ma le cose sono cambiate e ho finito per lasciare il filato per l'insegnamento, cosa che ho fatto per 8 anni.
Avanti veloce fino a quando ho lasciato quel lavoro, ho continuato a costruire una solida attività artistica nel Regno Unito, che ho felicemente gestito fino al mio esaurimento creativo nel 2008.
Ho trascorso gli anni successivi allenandomi in coaching, PNL e affari e ho avuto un'attività di coaching di successo, fino a quando non ho messo tutto giù per rivisitare la mia arte nel 2015. Ora, naturalmente, faccio entrambe le cose; gestire la mia attività di coaching e formazione per artisti e ricostruire la mia carriera artistica.
Ho sempre amato il colore, le forme, il design e la texture. La tessitura è arrivata dopo aver appena giocato sul telaio di mia figlia, ed eccoci qui qualche tempo dopo...
Questa è davvero la vita dei sogni: giocare con filati e vernici, costruire un business redditizio, ispirando gli altri a fare lo stesso!
In questo momento sono ispirato dai colori che mi circondano e la mia nuova collezione sarà tutta basata su dove l'oceano incontra la terra, quindi guarda questo spazio.
I started out knitting when I was still at school, and went on to develop my own 'cottage knitwear' business, which was great at the time. But things changed and I ended up leaving yarn for teaching, which I did for 8 years.
Fast forward to when I left that job, I went on to build a solid art business in the UK, which I happily ran till my creative burnout in 2008.
I spent the next years training in coaching, NLP, and business and had a successful coaching business, till I put everything down to re-visit my art in 2015. Now of course I do both; run my coaching and training business for artists, and build back my own art career.
I've always loved colour, shapes, design and texture. The weaving came along after just playing on my daughter's loom, and here we are some time later...
This really is the dream life: Playing with yarn and paint, building a profitable business, whilst inspiring other to do the same!
Right now I'm inspired by the colours around me and my new collection will all be based around where the ocean meets the land, so watch this space.
