I enjoy doing!
I enjoy the doing of a thing...sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery, weaving - handwork. Textiles have been my joy since childhood. Introducing this to other people is part of what I do here in Portland, Oregon. I teach sewing, etc. from the basement of my home and create items for etsy. The items in my shop are ideas that tickled my fancy, so I made them. Know that the items you see in my shop were made with joy, audio books playing in the background, and my mind busily planning the next item.
Cruise this shop and my daughters' etsy shop - Rachel's and Victoria's - www.etsy.com/shop/yesdesigns. They design and hand craft knickers, leggings, painted t shirts, and macrame jewelry. You can also view their items during the summer months at the Last Thursday Alberta Street Fair here in Portland.
I also have a diabetes blog, www.diabetesinsider.tumblr.com, where I share diabetic friendly recipes and strategies I have found for dealing with the problems that come with being diabetic. Check out my audio book review blog, www.lendmeyourears2017.tumblr.com , where I write about and recommend great listens.
If you're looking for knitted or crocheted items, my shop - www.etsy.com/shop/topdraweryarns - has scarves, cowls, berets, toques, watch caps, stocking caps...you name it! All are made by me using recycled yarn from SCRAP PDX here in Portland, OR. These pieces are a mix of colors...textures...fibers.
