The World Through My Eyes
I love travel. My trips have been limited, so far, but I absolutely love it. And there is so much more I want to see. I love seeing how different people, cultures, portray themselves--even through jewelry. What we wear says something about us. So I turned this passion into a business. I make jewelry that reflects a time, or place--whether it's very specific, or an idea. Just a celebration of the beauty of the ocean, the rough dignity of Africa.
I originally started a shop in late 2010. It didn't take long to realize I wasn't ready, and within a few months I closed shop without having sold a thing. But that is NOT to say that I was discouraged. Frustrated, yes, but too stubborn to be discouraged.
Then late last year I began thinking about it again, and looked at what I had learned in the meantime--and I made the decision to move forward. I studied, I created, and studied some more--the last few months have been hectic.
I am going forward with a gusto for finally having found exactly what I want to create, and what I want to do. I want to channel my love of traveling and the beautiful wide world into jewelry pieces that reflect the places we love most, and the different times. Life is an adventure, and traveling and history shows us that. One way people show that is by how they present themselves, and this is my way. And I know in my gut that it's exactly what I want to do.
Here's looking forward to the future and the grand adventure!
